Horizons Unlimited Meeting 2014

This year’s meeting of Horizons Unlimited is scheduled for September 4-6, 2014. Registration is now open at their website: Horizons Unlimited 2014 Meeting

The event will be at the same location as last year, Ironhorse Motorcycle Lodge in Stecoah NC.

Also, there is an interview with Grant and Susan Johnson in the February issue of RoadRunner magazine, where they talk about Horizons Unlimited.

As you can see, the leaves are all gone from the trees up in the mountain, but the weather was a pleasant low 50’s and sunny.  The heated grips and seat took the bite out of the 37 degree temp when I started riding in the AM.

Short Mountain Trip

I’m off to the mountains in the morning.  It’s late for the fall colors, but I haven’t been able to get away until now.  I’ll be gone for a couple of nights and will ride mountain roads one day and mid-Virginia back roads the other.  The mountain temps are suppose to be close to freezing in the early am 🙁   I haven’t ridden the Wing since a mountain trip in the spring, so I’ll ride it and enjoy the heating system.  Good to be on the two wheel road again.
