Arrived at hotel finally at 11:45 pm. 570 miles from Sarasota.
It wasn’t too hot during the day because rain storms had passed through ahead of me on my route. The clouds and rain-cooled air kept the temperature down. Riding at night bypassing Atlanta was hairy, dodging the trucks in the rain. I’ve never seen so many trucks at once, they seemed to outnumber the cars. I was exhausted when I finalled got to the motel 6.
The motel itself was old and in need of renovation. It’s a toss-up when you go to a budget motel whether it will be a dump or decent.
