This link will take you to a summary of a Pan American ride on an electric motorcycle. The full article was in the Sept/Oct 2016 issue of ADVMOTO magazine. An interesting thing in the article was the bike, a 2012 Zero, only needed 15 amps to charge, where the newer bikes require 16-25 amps. This means that his older bike could be charged just about anywhere without tripping the common 15 amp breakers, not possible with the newer bikes.

Thanks for posting the link to the summary. Recommend taking a Zero, or any electric motorcycle, for a test ride. It’s a unique riding experience. Instant torque, no noise (except the tires and wind), and low weight. Wish the machines were cheaper and dealers more prevalent.
