Scrambler Redux at 2016 EICMA

New models introduced by BMW, Ducati, and Triumph at the 2016 EICMA motorcycle show.  Like them all, but the BMW really catches my eye.  BMW is putting out some nice R9T-based models, hope the company resurrects the 1982-1984 R80ST. There’s also the new Husqvarna 401’s, one variant is a scrambler.

BMW, Honda, Kawasaki, and Suzuki showed small displacement (250-300 cc) rally-styled ATV motorcycles.  Honda also displayed a 750 cc adventure scooter.  Wonder if the seat height is compact people friendly?

1992 BMW K1at Auction

1992 BMW K1 to be auctioned Saturday May 23 at RM Auctions

This K1 was donated for auction by Mint Classics of Münster, the proceeds to go to relief for the earthquake victims in Nepal.

The auction value is estimated at €20,000 to €30,000, about $23,000 – $33,000.

George, you should have kept your K1 (although it wasn’t the original one in red and yellow). I guess if you hold on to anything long enough it will be worth something. Maybe I should have kept the Bonneville for at least another ten years.
