It wasn’t cheap, but the R65 is back home with new pushrod tube seals, all related top end gaskets and o rings and new roller cams. Also new shifter shaft seal and crankcase pan gasket. I did a test ride from Morton’s BMW to Spotsylvania Court House Battlefield to check out everything, beautiful day and fell in love with the old girl all over again.

Daytona No – Barber Maybe
Since it appears that none of us will be able to make Daytona this year, I thought I’d post the Barber Vintage M/C Festival link http://www.barbervintagefestival.org/ . It’s too bad that the vintage m/c scene has departed Daytona, but maybe Barber can be a replacement. It’s a longer ride for you Florida guys, but what are m/c for, if not to ride!

Jim, thanks for putting a picture back in the header. I thing this was a Daytona trip and Chuck was along, but don’t see his bike (he did get lost occasionally) in the pic. I’d love to have that big tank GS/PD today.

New BMW to Commemorate 90 Year Anniversary
BMW has announce they will be coming out with a new model in 2013 to commemorate the company’s 90th. anniversary. It will be air-cooled and use styling(?) from their 90 year history. I read a brief writeup on Morton’s BMW web site.
